BUILT FROM WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE

The numbers show patterns. Conversations add context.

I studied cognitive behavioural therapy and mental health before becoming a Labour and Social Security Attorney in Japan. Seeing people become unwell through work led me to focus on the systems within their workplaces.

For more than ten years, I have served as a Stress Check implementer. I combined group analysis with conversations with every member of a department, speaking with 1,000 employees in some years. Together, the data and their experiences helped me consider what supervisors, department heads and executives could each address.

I am building cockpitos AI myself to bring that experience to more workplaces. Let’s discuss what your Japan team needs.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A clearer path forward.

Is a Stress Check implementer included?

Yes. The standard Stress Check fee includes Shinsuke Ichiki acting as the implementer. He is a qualified psychiatric social worker who has completed the required training and has ten years of implementer experience. Physician arrangements and physician interviews are discussed separately. Automated physician booking and a partner physician network are not currently available.

When will smaller workplaces in Japan be covered?

Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare states that the Stress Check obligation will extend to workplaces with fewer than 50 workers on 1 April 2028. Confirm the scope for each workplace as part of your implementation planning.

Can our global HR team access individual results?

Individual results are notified directly to the worker. They cannot be provided to the employer without the worker’s consent. Discuss access permissions and reporting arrangements before implementation.

Where should an international HR team start?

Start with the Japan Occupational Health Compliance Guide. It covers workplace scope, implementation roles, privacy and preparation. For your organization’s circumstances and available language support, speak with our team.
